I Finally Watched Justice League - And 5 Reasons Why I Like It!

Recently, I took out a stack of DVDs that I've bought.. which I've yet to watch.

In the stack is a few discs of the superheroes.. non other than Justice League! Oh wow!

I put in the very 1st disc - Justice League Secret Origins, and you bet I've enjoyed it!

Here's My Top 5 Reasons I Why Like Justice League Secret Origins:

1. There's.. Batman!



First off, there's non other than my favourite superhero - the broody moody Batman! Yes this has to be the very main reason I like this movie!

And like true to himself, there's 2 scenes his personality is truly shown:

Scene 1:
J'onn J'onzz: I came to warn you, but I was captured and imprisoned. They wouldn't listen.
Batman: Big surprise.
J'onn J'onzz: I sense you don't trust me. Perhaps this will help. (Shape-shifts into humanoid form) I am J'onn J'onzz.
(Offers his hand, which Batman doesn't take.)
Superman: Don't take it personally, J'onn, he doesn't trust anyone.
J'onn J'onzz: A wise policy.

Scene 2:
Batman: I'm not much of a "people person". But when you need help—and you will—call me.

2. Superheroes everywhere!



While I'm a fan of Batman, but seeing the other superheroes coming together is fun too. Especially the likes of Superman and Wonderwoman, and Batman together. Wow!

3. Intro to lesser known characters.

From the point above, I now also am introduced to the other teammates in the Justice League.

While Green Lantern and Flash are more known, but the average non comic reader like me will now know of the Martian, Hawkgirl and J'onn and J'onzz - characters that never made it to the big screen (personally, have you heard of them?).

4. Interaction of the characters.



It's interesting to see how the characters, who are each rather distinct themselves.. communicating & interacting with each other, and maintaining their coolness (and ego) too!

For example, check this out:
Flash: Whoa! Where have you been all my life?
Wonder Woman: Themyscira.
Flash: Huh?
Hawkgirl: The home of the Amazons. I always thought it was merely a legend.
Wonder Woman: I assure you, it's as real as the ground on which we stand on. I am Diana, Princess of the Amazons.
Flash: Pinch me, I must be dreaming. (Superman elbows him) Ow!

Btw, the interaction do include the battle scenes.

One interesting point was where Wonderwoman flew, and carried Batman along. Now that's a classic!

5. Understanding the Superheroes



Justice League gives a good basic background of the superheroes. A good example is to know that Wonderwoman is a princess! (Like oh wow!).

Such details lets me understand these characters more, and will definitely come in handy to understand all the hype surrounding the Justice League Movie that is to be released in 2015!

Owh, I can't wait! And in the meantime, let me continue watching the other series of Justice League!!

*Justice League Secret Origins premiered as a movie in 2001, and later reruns as 3 parts series. And yeah, I only watched it 11 years later!!
