For The Better

Sometimes, there are things that may or may not work according to our plans. When these happens, some will get frustrated, others may feel dissapointed.

But I guess sometimes somethings happen for the better. And though there will be the initial setbacks, but I'm sure that eventually, things will turn out fine.

And although, there are times as well when things do happen not for the better, but we just have to move on and in a way, make it turn out well too :)

Dedicate Smiles

Been rather impressed with the standard of service of the staff at the restaurants/ cafes recently!

It's such heartening to know they are so dedicated... they are very efficient and at the same time, full of smiles! And these are very sincere smiles - genuine from their heart.

It's nice to know these people take their jobs seriously and are so fully dedicated to them. They serve the food in time, and are so happy in their jobs. And me as a customer can really feel their energy and enthusiasm! How wonderful :)

Bridge To New Creations

Disney's movies always have a lil magic in them - from the details that went into the cartoon to the messages behind the whole story. This include the recent movie, Bridge To Terabithia.

The movie focus on 2 kids who are best friends. And who let their imagination run - for them to create wonderful new things - though just imaginary.

What I've gained from this movie is to continue to have an open mind which will lead us to build new creations (just like how the 2 kids imagination made them turn a jungle into their kingdom playground).

Some may say that this can be a lil kiddy, and maybe we don't want to build kingdom playgrounds.. but just use the principles to build other creations that will lead to happy lives - business or non :)

The Magic Of Love

Have you ever experienced the magic & power of love? This can be not just from love or loving a spouse, but also encompass love for our family, community, country, etc.

For when there is love, things get going, in fact moving! Just like moving mountains :) For it is love that makes people to not just see within themselves, but beyond - for the love will be the one that lead the way.

Examples could be - a couple who will go through all the pain to just be together, families relationships remain strong despite the hurdles/obstacles and seperations, countries prosper because of the love of both the Leaders & its people. This list can just go on :)

Just to take an excerpt from the lyrics, Can You Feel The Love Tonight, "The world for once in perfect harmony, With all its living things"...

Wow, aint that the magic of LOVE.

Networking

When I was a student, my teachers used to say that networking among us classmates was important, as we will never know when we will need each others help in the future when we are grown ups.

Recently, some of my friends have been stressing the importance of building a strong network as well.

In a way, I do agree with them, as these can be useful in business and of course just as personal friendships too.

Do you too have experienced friends who will just go the distance just for you? Or have you done it yourself too? Well, that is the power of networking :)

Beautifully You

Went to watch the Korean movie of 200 Pounds Beauty. Beautiful movie, well scripted and directed.

But more importantly, the movie's theme is to look at our inner beauty. And though the world may judge others by looks or background, but what makes each and all of us special is our deeper selves within.

And though the world & societies do have standards and criteria to meet, but in the end, reality is that we have to judge the beautiful part of ourselves. For I believe that is what makes us continue to live life happy and full :)

To Malaysia With LOVE

That's the title for my message in the Editions BLUE. Also, I think, this is suitable and appropriate for The Malaysia Page.

Malaysia has gone a long way to be where it is today. Though like many other nations, there are aspects for it to be improved, but still, it has its own uniqueness and that has a soft spot for others.

Some may like the variety of food. Others may like the warm friendly people. Or the lifestyle and its celebrations. The modern Putrajaya to the heritage Penang & Malacca. Its white sandy beaches in Terengganu or the islands of Pulau Langkawi, Pulau Redang, Pulau Tioman and Pulau Perhentian... or her forest in Taman Negara Pahang and Sarawak.

A very blessed country with lots of prospects to grow :)Truly, a wonderful place to visit if not stay... definitely a reason why we always love you, Malaysia!

Define

I've been in the business for slightly over 1.5 years now. Actually the journey has been rather interesting... as at first, the Batik Inspirations book was publsihed just solely out from passion.

Along the way, I've been slightly involved in the hand painted tshirts which are available at a few gift shops in Singapore. It was through the learning & then appreciation of art that I got interested into these.

And now, my latest 'baby' - The Malaysia Page. Instead of plain internet business, this has a little 'beauty' to it like the giant poster of Malaysia.

So, people do ask... 'What does your company do?'. I've read before that a company will continue to change its goals and objectives over time - even the MNCs (eg. maybe add a new division or at times change direction altogether).

Initially, it was hard to define my business.
After some deep thoughts & looking deep within my heart, I realised I got it right - my company specialise in promoting Malaysia & Asia through:
Publishing. Fashion. Internet. Productions.

Glad that I finally found the right words to describe my passion. My close friends will know how much I love my country and Asia.

Though these may change in the future, as I do have a few other plans as well, but at least for now my business is defined :)

Winning By Helping

The Malaysia Page is quite ready to be rolled out. And along the way for the past 2 days, Ive been promoting the site to a few businesses.

Im actually quite surprised that I didnt really use a sales pitch. Instead, the words really came from my heart ie to help others succeed.

Someone once told me that by helping others first, we will eventually win as well. And that is just what this site aims to do - by helping the Malaysian companies have a global presence. I hope that there will be benefits to them like bringing potential customers to them either physically or virtually.

And, it comes as a sweet surprise that by just believing in this theory of helping, these businesses see the pure benefits :)
