Shifting of Mindset

Our minds keep on speaking to us each moment. That is what I realised (or further enhance my realisation) through a course I went a few weeks back.

We keep on thinking and forming opinions (and worries), and these can form our mindset and mood for the period or even for the day (and maybe even longer than that!)

There are many instances whereby when some plans or things don't go the way I plan, I might get a lil affected. And this can really ruin the day at times.

But the other day, I applied what I learnt. Though it was rather tough and takes quite a bit of discipline to change the mindset, but when it worked, it really works wonders and then the day seem to turn-around!

And a friend of mine who always seems to be in a good mood must be doing that as well. Because really, it's all about our mindset.

I'm still learning and applying this technique, and it is really powerful.. this adds to the idea that the future is really for us to create (I'll write that in my next post).

In the meantime, let's keep on having this mind in our hands - and shift when needed!

Think BIG - Going GLOBAL

Over the recent times, many friends have been telling me about the buzz in a few countries like China, Middle East... some of them doing business there, and have been raving about these countries! And I've also been hearing about some friends making headways in UK.

The China buzz is not new. Many global companies are already seizing the opportunity to enter such a huge market.

I think it is good to do an international business, and of course these countries should come into mind as well (but not limited to). Besides the big potential for business to grow, I also I learnt (from a course) that if we were to focus on big things, eg. making a global business, then the problems we face in the current situation seems small. Just imagaine that from whatever country you are from, and if your business is to have a global reach, then the small country-by-country problems are really small issues to handle and can be solved easily.

With problems at bay, and a big dream in our minds, this really ligthens the mood, and makes everyday a day to look forward to :)

The Power of Leveraging

I'm sure most of us have heard the saying that 'two heads are better than one'. I realise that this is very true.

As a follow up to one of my recent post, I believe that we should get sound advise from people from different fields that they do - which will in a way be useful to help us in return. That is because if we want to grow in a faster pace, it's much easier to learn from those with the experience and knowledge.

For example, by speaking to a senior corporate friend recently, I understand about planning and strategising better. Or, when I read about some internet related articles, it helps me to understand the internet better and form new ideas. My friends from HR will teach me more on the importance of human resource (which may come in useful when I need to employ people) and my creative friends from the media industry help me understand how the industry work. Courses will also help as well.

I must say that it will take us a lot of time to learn all of these by ourselves. But if we learn from each other, through listening to them, or reading, we can actually use this strong power of leveraging to grow in a very rapid pace.
